 AUTUMN GOLD—MOOSE is an original oil painting by artist Toni Hilscher. 

The genesis for this painting was a recent trip to Teton National Park where I photographed the late afternoon sun lighting up the aspen trees in their fall colors. After searching through my animal photo reference, I came upon this bull moose which seems to be the perfect complement of the lighter colored aspen trees.-Toni Hilscher

For me painting has become a passion; it's something I have to do for my soul and spirit, it's a religious connection with nature. My goal as a painter is to convey my personal interpretation of nature through a realistic impressionist manner.
