JOHN HASSELER: "Having no two pieces exactly alike, John’s unique designs offer the wearer a way to express themselves as individuals in a mass produced world. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, John Hasseler studied art at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and earned an Associates Degree in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from Northeast Wisconsin Technical Institute in 1982.Since then, he has held the position as Master Goldsmith for retail jewelers in Wisconsin, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Minnesota, and a gallery artist in Hawaii and Minnesota."

Owyhee Jasper is a classic old stock material from the Rugged Owyhee Mountain area on the Idaho- Oregon border. The patterns often resemble the desert hills and mountain scenery (with or without the blue sky) and those of the places it originates from. Citrine (the transparent, pale yellow to brownish orange variety of quartz) is rare in nature. Citrine is the yellow variety of quartz, and its name comes from the Old French word for lemon.Citrine’s attractive color, plus the durability and affordability it shares with most other quartzes, makes it the top-selling yellow-to-orange gem. It’s an attractive alternative not only for topaz, but also for yellow sapphire. The finest citrine color is a saturated yellow to reddish orange free of brownish tints.
