"Sunkissed"- by the award-winning wood artist Keoni Carlson.
Keoni Carlson uses fire, sharpened steel, metallic and India inks paired with organic dyes to create illusions entirely freehand. He creates touchable illusions with sugar maple as his canvas- "wood re-imagined"
"Once shaped, designs are burned at high temperatures onto the wood using a single 1/8” straight-line tool."
'Excepted into an exhibit themed "Trickster" at the Philly Art Museum. - With an opening in the top and the bottom it can be displayed either way but does not hold anything. The "trickster" is a reference to the coyote or raven tin Southwestern tribes and and the reason for the southwest design. This is the last one of three the artist has done /- Keoni Carlson
