Wes Hunting: COLOR TINT OPTICAL- Red

This piece- While the general designs can be traced to the natural movement of coral and other aquatic entities, the details that drift into the foreground have more of a floral quality. Solid glass creates a lens effect that gives the illusion that the flowers are blooming in real-time, as one observes the piece in terms of interior design. The key embellishment is the addition of a color tint to the surface of the piece. The natural light creates a bold dynamic as it passes through the transparent colors of the surface, and strikes the intricate patterns within. This stunning work in solid glass was hot sculpted, layering murrini with molten glass, there are some bubbles and slight imperfections in the solid glass as these pieces are handmade and all are one-of-a-kind and never duplicated.
